Chocolate chip cookies are a nostalgic traditional sweet treat that brings us back to warm cookies and milk days. This recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies is the grown up version of the cookies of childhood. It takes 30 minutes to make these blissful morsels. Who doesn't love a sweet treat with peanut butter and chocolate? Share them with your kids after school and they will beg for more.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or less if preferred less sweet)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until mixed well into a dough.
  2. Form into balls of approximately 1 tablespoon of dough each, and place onto a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil approximately 3 centimeters apart.
  3. Bake at 180 Celsius for 15 minutes.

I did use a little less than a half a cup of sugar just because the peanut butter is full of flavor, but it didn't take away from the cookies. They were very soft and chewy. Loved the taste of the chips with a really great peanut butter cookie base. I've even given these as gifts!
