Combining fresh peaches with fresh apricots, this jam has a rich fruity flavor. The addition of almond extract adds an underlying tone of nuttiness to this delicious jam. Ready in 30 minutes, this jam begs to be spread on a slice of toast.

Ingredients

  • 600 grams sugar
  • 1 kilogram peaches (peeled, seeds removed)
  • 500 grams apricots (peeled, seeds removed)
  • 1 drop almond extract

Directions

  1. Bring the sugar and chopped peaches and apricots to a boil.
  2. Let boil for 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Stir the mix, add the almond extract, and let it simmer on low heat for 5 more minutes.

One of the best 5 star jams I have made to date. It has chunks of apricot and peach throughout that adds plenty of bulk when eating it with toast. The apricot and peach is tasted evenly and has just a hint of sweetness to it.
