Nothing refreshes quite like a tall glass of cold iced tea. Featuring the refreshing flavors of peach, lemon, and mint, this iced tea uses green tea as the base. Sweeten with honey to taste and serve over ice. After sitting for a little bit a separation of the peach puree and the tea may occur. You can either stir it to redistribute or at this point you can strain the peach puree out as the flavor will have already been absorbed into the tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter water
  • 2 green tea bags (to taste)
  • 3 peaches
  • 1 lemon
  • honey (to taste)
  • mint leaves

Directions

  1. Heat the water and when it boils, turn off the heat, and add the tea bags.
  2. In a blender, grind peeled and pitted peaches.
  3. After the tea has cooled down, discard the tea bags, add the fruit pulp, stir well, and sweeten with honey to taste.
  4. Serve with ice, a few drops of lemon, and mint leaves.

Iced peach tea is, by far, my favorite warm weather drink. I love that this recipe uses green tea as it gives it a very light flavor. I made a big batch of this and after letting it sit for a few hours I strained the peach pulp out of it and served it in a lovely glass pitcher. It was delicious and so pretty.
