    I didn’t have the right kind of bread and I over-cooked the patties but it tasted great anyways!

    Thanks to the downright demonic amount of butter in this recipe, even if you char things a bit, the patty melts still taste amazing. I made mine with pumpernickel bread which was a great choice. I imagine sour dough would be even better. You can cut out like half the butter and the sandwiches would turn out fine, but I'd recommend going all the way if you want to treat yourself to the full experience.

    absolutely amazing. my new favorite. i added a bit of cumin to the meat for a little extra flavor. looking forward to making this again.
