It was so good. I was out of my usual supplies for sauce, so I looked up recipes and this one came up. i already had fresh sage and thyme in the pot, so i added everything else recommended in the recipe and kept going. I woukd add a little extra paste and sauce, but not much.

This is a great sauce. Perfect for a weekly family meal. I usually freeze leftovers in individual servings and keep enjoying for several weeks. It's so easy to make. I use a Cab Franc and I pick a good one, one I would drink on its own. I highly recommend picking a good wine that you like, it makes a huge difference in this dish.

This has become my go to bolognese sauce. My family loves it and my picky 4 year old begs for it. i often omit the wine as i often do not have it on hand and it is just as good. I just replace it with beef broth.
