Always found English style pasties too dry so I used a small amount of savoury mince with my vegetables and it came up trumps,but remember the veggies are the star of the show..

  • 1 parsnip
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 150 grams savoury (cooked, mince)
  • seasoning
  • 4 sheets puff pastry
  • egg (for wash)

    Directions

    1. dice vegetables and par boil in salted water for 5 mins. remove and set aside..
    2. cook mince add water mixed flour or a gravy mix to thicken add some beans or peas at this stage if you wish.
    3. add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix well with salt, pepper,I also add some cayenne pepper and ground oregano with my seasoning.
