Ingredients

  • 400 grams pasta (fettuccini, or other similar pasta)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 200 grams half and half
  • 400 grams portabella mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon bouillon
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Heat a tbsp. of olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Wait one minute and then saute the onion and garlic, cook for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms.
  3. Lower the heat to low and cover the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, allowing the mushrooms to release their juices.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta al dente in water with salt and drain.
  5. Add the half and half, bouillon, salt and pepper to the pan with the mushrooms. Mix and leave on low heat for 4 more minutes to blend the flavors. Remove from heat and add the pasta to the pan.
  6. Add the butter, stir and serve immediately.
  7. If desired, sprinkle each plate with shaved parmesan.

A great way to add mushrooms to a pasta dish. The half and half creates a nice creamy sauce that is so good with pasta and mushrooms. It really combines to create a great dish. So much flavor coming together. Dinner approved!
