Ingredients

  • 1 boneless chicken breast (boiled and cut into strips, save the water used to boil the chicken)
  • 150 grams pasta
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup water (used to prepare the pasta)

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions listed on its package. Make sure to save 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pan, add the garlic and fry it for 1 minute.
  3. Add the chicken strips and cook them until they are lightly cooked.
  4. Add the pasta, along with any water that was left over from cooking the chicken, and the 1/2 cup of water from the pasta.
  5. Cook everything until the water evaporates and then serve with the chopped parsley sprinkled on top of the pasta.

The instructions were easy and ingredients really simple. However, the end result was just okay. I ended up adding cheese on top since it was a little flavourless. Perhaps adding salt and pepper at certain stages would make it more flavourful. It's definitely creamy and thick, hearty even, but a little tasteless.

This was a very creamy, thick, and tender dish that everyone seemed to love. The chicken was nice and juicy and seemed to pull apart very easily. I was surprised by how much flavor this dish had and how the smell of it cooking made my mouth water. I cannot wait to make it again and would consider this to be a 5 star recipe.
