Description

This is an Italian dish that can be ready in just 35 minutes. The mixture of garlic, olives and cayenne pepper, add a spicy and savory taste to the dish. The peeled tomatoes add a nice color, while the chopped anchovies add a nice texture. This is a easy to make summer dinner dish.

Ingredients

180 grams spaghetti
salt
olive oil
1 garlic cloves (sliced)
6 anchovies (chopped)
1 tablespoon capers
10 olives (chopped)
1 cayenne pepper (whole)
5 tomatoes (; peeled, seedless, and crushed)

Directions

1Cook the pasta according to package directions in salted water.
2In a skillet with a little oil, saute the garlic and anchovies.
3When the anchovies start to melt like butter, add the capers and olives.
4Once everything is warmed through, add the cayenne pepper and the tomatoes and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
5Drain the pasta and serve topped with the puttanesca sauce.
