    I tried this recipe today. I scaled it up 3x, as I was making for large number of people. It tastes great. But I would have preferred to NOT add ghee in step #5. The smell/taste of ghee overshadowed the flavor of coconut paste and coconut oil.. You may want to only add ghee while serving over rice, just before eating. Or skip the ghee altogether. I also did NOT dry-roast the dal before cooking, and used toor dal instead of moong. I used 1 large onion instead of 5 small ones. All of that worked out well. Cooking time was almost an hour for me, as I am a beginner cook.
