Enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather with this recipe for Papaya and Lemongrass Lemonade. Aromatic, lemongrass adds a unique herbal flavor to this papaya lemonade. Cooling, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet, this Papaya and Lemongrass Lemonade is sure to please your family or guests, or just make a tall glass for yourself! Serve over crushed ice and be sure to strain the lemonade before serving to remove any excess pulp or strands of lemongrass.

Ingredients

1/2 stalk lemongrass (fresh)
150 grams papaya (weighed still frozen)
1/2 lemon
water (1 lt. fresh)
2 tablespoons golden syrup (or honey)
ice (to taste)

Directions

1Put in the mixer cup orblender: half stalk of lemongrass, papaya.
2Add the lemon (peel and seeds as well), pulse for 6 touches on the turbo button and then 10 seconds at maximum.
3Add fresh water, blend 1 minute at medium speed.
4Strain the juice to filter the lemongrass (which is made into small wisps) and the remaining ingredients.
5Add the golden syrup to taste.
6If you do not like papaya, you can replace it with raspberries or strawberries.
7Chop some ice and serve fresh.
