Ingredients

  • 2 kilograms beef (casserole, I used green meadows)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons rice bran oil
  • 1 onions (diced)
  • 4 garlic (gloves, crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 500 milliliters oatmeal stout (Panhead Blacktop, use your favourite stout)
  • 1 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 200 grams button mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 whole carrots
  • 1 stalk celery (I cut mine into four pieces)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • 6 sheets puff pastry (flake, I used Edmonds)
  • 6 squares gouda (slices of)
  • 1 free-range eggs
