Pancakes are the perfect weekend breakfast. This simple recipe is made with just 8 ingredients and comes together in about 25 minute for a simple yet indulgent breakfast. A pat of butter and a drizzle of maple syrup make for the perfectly dressed stack. If you want to add a little more flavor and flair to your pancakes, toss from fresh berries, sliced bananas, or chocolate chips into the batter before you cook them.

Ingredients

  • 120 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 180 milliliters milk
  • 1 tablespoon liquid margarine

Directions

  1. Grease a non-stick frying pan with a drizzle of liquid margarine.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix the egg with the milk, and add to the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until mixture is creamy and lump-free. Only then, add liquid margarine.
  5. Heat the greased pan, and pour, right in the center, the amount of batter needed for the desired size of pancakes.
  6. When the batter starts to create bubbles and rise, turn over with a spatula.
  7. Let rise, and brown. Remove from pan.
  8. Repeat until all the batter has been used.
  9. Garnish to taste, and serve.

We love pancakes in my family. I was so glad to find a homemade recipe. These turned out light and fluffy and perfectly golden. I will never buy pre-made mix again!
