  • blade roast
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Beef Base (Superior Touch, though I prefer this product, you can sub 3 cubes or 1 Tbl. granules)
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic (finely)
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter (1/2 stick)
  • 2 onions (large, halved and thickly sliced, about 1/2″ thick)
  • 16 ounces cremini mushrooms (fresh sliced)
  • 1 tomato paste (rounded Tbl., or ketchup, both work just fine)
  • 1/4 cup white wine (or red, optional)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic (finely)
  • 1 cup sour cream (I like Daisy’s)
  • 8 ounces extra wide egg noodles (or, half of a 16 oz. bag wide)
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (fresh minced, optional garnish)
