We eat a lot of fish. My husband is a fisherman and we are lucky to enjoy what he catches. I have learned over the years to try a variety of recipes so we can maximize the flavors of the fish that my husband brings home. Halibut is my personal favorite. It is a firm fish and really holds up well. It also has fabulous flavor. This recipe was a winner in my book! I have never marinaded anything in buttermilk before so I was curious how it would turn out. It turned out great! I followed the recipe exactly except I used crushed Ritz crackers instead of Rye crackers. I had the Ritz on hand and didn't want to make a trip to the store. My whole family enjoyed this recipe and it will be a recipe I use again, probably the next time we have halibut!
