Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 piece onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 cloves garlic (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • salt
  • 1 tablespoon water (in which the chicken was cooked)

Directions

  1. 1Place the chicken in a large pan, without overlapping the pieces. Add the onion, garlic, and water. Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes until the chicken is soft.
  2. 2Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. 3Separately, use a mortar to crush the garlic, oregano, and salt, and add a tablespoon of water in which the chicken was cooked.
  4. 4Cover the chicken with this mixture and place the pieces back in the pan. Cover and let it rest for 2 hours.
  5. 5Remove the chicken from the pan and grill or cook in another skillet until golden brown.
  6. 6Serve immediately accompanied with rice.
