Take your favorite meat, salad, or side to the next level with this versatile recipe for Orange Sauce. Made with sour cream, cream cheese, and fresh orange juice and zest, this sauce can be used as a salad dressing, a dipping sauce, or a drizzling sauce on grilled meat or fish. Season the sauce to taste according to your own preference. We recommend serving this zesty creamy citrus sauce with turkey sprinkled with dried cranberries for a wintry dinner entree.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange (plus extra for garnish)
  • 4 tablespoons orange juice
  • 500 milliliters sour cream
  • 100 grams cheese (Philadelphia)
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • sugar

Directions

  1. Mix the orange zest and orange juice in a medium jar.
  2. Add the sour cream, Philadelphia cheese, and salt, pepper, and sugar to taste. Stir until mixed.
  3. Serve as dressing on turkey, potatoes, and salads.

We made a huge batch of this sauce to serve over sliced turkey breasts then garnished it with a few fresh cranberries. The orange zest and the cranberries brought color to the meat and sauce. IT was beautiful and full of flavor!
