Loin roast comes from the area of the pig between the shoulder and the beginning of the leg It is sold either bone-in or boneless.


  • 4 pounds pork loin roast, boneless
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper (Ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger


  1. In small bowl combine mustard, salt, pepper and ginger; rub mixture into roast. Place roast on grill over foil drip pan. Close grill hood. Grill over slow coals 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 145 degrees F. brushing with glaze every 10 minutes during the last 30 minutes of grilling time. Remove roast from oven; let rest about 10 minutes before carving.

  3. Glaze, in a medium saucepan, combine orange marmalade, corn syrup, lemon juice, dry mustard, ground ginger. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
