Description

Mhalbi is a creamy rice pudding typically served around the time of Ramadan in North Africa. This orange flower rice pudding is made with rice powder, whole milk, and sugar for a sweet creamy pudding. Lightly flavored with orange flower water, this pudding has a lilting citrus flavor. Ingredients

  • 700 milliliters whole milk
  • 100 grams rice powder (or rice flour)
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange flower water
  • cinnamon (for garnish)

Directions

  1. 1In a saucepan, add in the milk, rice powder, sugar, and orange flower water. Mix well.
  2. 2Heat on low, constantly stirring until it thickens.
  3. 3Let cool and refrigerate overnight.
  4. 4Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
