- 1 small onion (peeled and chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
- 3 chicken breasts (chopped into bite-size chunks)
- 1 pinch salt (and pepper)
- 16 chestnut mushrooms (baby, chopped in half)
- 60 mL white wine (optional – you can replace with water or stock)
- 600 mL chicken stock (ml homemade or good quality)
- 105 mL whole milk
- 200 grams pasta shapes (dried)
- 1 head broccoli (stalk removed, chopped into small florets)
- 70 grams kale (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 50 grams Parmesan (grated)
- 1 pinch salt (and pepper)

It was simply awesome! I received a great compliment from my wife of 51 years today regarding this recipe. Since Covid I’ve been doing most of the cooking and loving it. Yummly is my go to place for great recipe options.. We’re very rarely disappointed. This recipe was a winner! Thank y’all

I suspected this recipe might be light on flavor, so added a few sprigs of thyme as it cooked with the pasta. Also added red pepper flakes for oomph. Doubled the amount of baby kale called for. Mixed in extra parmesan. The timing is perfect, everything was well cooked; the pasta was still perfectly chewy while the broccoli still had the right amount of crunch. There was some broth at the end of cooking, but just enough for leftovers to absorb the flavor for next day lunches.

Incredibly soupy. Low on flavor. Prep time 5 minutes? Ha! Never again.

Good flavor! I left out the lemon juice and added extra chicken bullion and flour to thicken the sauce. Next time I'll assemble all of the ingredients before I start cooking! I will be making this again!
