Description

Transform that day old bread into a delicious bread pudding. Made with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and brown sugar, this bread pudding has all the taste of your favorite french toast.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices crusty bread
  • 200 milliliters milk
  • 200 milliliters pastry cream
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Place the bread broken in small pieces in a small ovenproof pan. Sprinkle with warm milk, and wait for about 10 minutes.
  3. 3Add the pastry cream, and stir to a homogeneous mixture.
  4. 4Sprinkle with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  5. 5Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until obtaining the desired consistency.
  6. 6Remove from oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
