Description

Biscuits are a family favorite starter to any meal. They bring the family to the table before the main dish is ready and help start the conversation. This recipe for Oats and Walnut Biscuits takes 35 minutes to prepare. There are four servings, so feel free to adjust accordingly. They are flavorful and hearty biscuits. Ingredients include butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour, baking soda, fine salt, chopped walnuts, and rolled oats.

Ingredients

1 cup butter (at room temperature)
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fine salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups rolled oats

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2Whisk the butters with an electric mixer until obtaining a creamy mixture.
3Add the sugar and eggs, and whisk a little more.
4In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, chopped nuts, and oats. Mix well with your fingertips.
5Gradually, add the cream mixture, and mix well to form a moldable pulp that is not too heavy. Too much flour will make the biscuits hard instead of light and crispy.
6With floured hands make balls, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or silicone mat.
7Bake for about 15 minutes.
