Description

Banana bread is a traditional and nostalgic favorite. Grandma usually had a fresh baked loaf every time you came over for a sweet afternoon treat when she had her tea or coffee. This Nuts and Chocolate Banana Bread takes that snack to a whole new level. It takes 75 minutes to prepare this decadent dessert that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with the decadents of walnuts and dark chocolate

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas (ripe)
  • 230 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 140 grams butter (soft)
  • 250 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 100 grams chopped walnuts
  • 100 grams dark chocolate (cut into pieces)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mash the bananas with a fork, add the sugar.
  3. Pour this mixture into the food processor bowl and add both eggs.
  4. Mix well and then, add the butter.
  5. When you have a smooth batter, stir in the flour and baking powder. Mix well.
  6. Using a spatula, gently add the crushed nuts and chocolate.
  7. Cover your cake pan with parchment paper.
  8. Pour the batter into the pan and bake at least 1 hour or until the blade of a knife comes out dry.
  9. Let it cool down before tasting it with a nice hot chocolate.
