This bite size experience will rock your taste buds! Delicious, drool worthy, mixture of Nutella and chocolate cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 13 ounces Nutella
  • 16 candy (Melting Coating Chocolate)
  • 40 lollipop (or straws, sticks)

Directions

  1. Bake cake as directed. Let cool completely.
  2. When cooled, crumble the cake or use food processor into crumbs, set aside. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in microwave safe bowl till completely melted.
  3. Add a spoonful or two of Nutella into the crumbled cake mixture. Mix till sticky but not gooey. Start forming small balls, use a tablespoon to measure, and they should all have the same size. Place the balls on the parchment paper (use a baking sheet).
  4. Dip the tip of the lollipop stick or straw into the melted candy coating and insert it into the cake ball, just passed half way in.
  5. Let the chocolate cool down completely. Best if you place in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. With the cake balls nice and firm, but not frozen, immerse the cake ball in the chocolate coating until covered. Once covered remove, softly tap, and rotate until the excess chocolate falls off. Don’t tap too hard or the cake ball will fall off.
  7. Have fun decorating your cake pops.
