Top quality gumbo. I used all 3 bell pepper colors and andouille sausage. Fed 6 people with leftovers.

It was delicious. I added chicken and tons of spices to spice it up. I ask added okra which gave it the complete New Orleans taste.

Turned out pretty good and tasty, I used plain flour I in stead of all use flour, and I couldn’t find the gumbo file so I didn’t used that either, but overall was happy with the outcome! 😻
I live in New Orleans. Our gumbo does not have tomatoes but I gave it a try anyway. Overall it was good, better the next day. I rated a 3 Star because it’s not New Orleans gumbo. It doesn’t have okra which is a main ingredient. However, it was a good gumbo.

Wow delicious! I used 24 oz of precooked salad shrimp (which I added when the rest of the soup was done as not to overcook the shrimp), and because I couldn't find gumbo file` at Kroger or Walmart I bought the only Gumbo seasoning I could find instead. Some say gumbo is not officially gumbo without okra but ours is okra-free and still amazing. 😄

very good. i like my gumbo a little thicker so i added a little flour at the end.
Love, love, love this recipe and make it on the regular. I especially like to add okra. You can also add chicken, crab, etc.
