Ingredients

  • 100 grams butter
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 200 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • ground cinnamon (for garnish, optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix the sugar with the butter, egg, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually, add the flour to a soft, but moldable dough.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough, and use a biscuit cutter to cut out the biscuits.
  6. Place the biscuits on a silicone mat, or in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.

I will be throwing together these 5 star biscuits again next week. The outside is hard and buttery while the inside is doughy. The cinnamon and powdered sugar add lots of sweetness as well.
