Ingredients

  • 450 grams ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2/3 cup onions (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground caraway
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • salt
  • ground coriander
  • 1 1/3 cups couscous
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/3 cups couscous
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. 1Mix the beef, water, olive oil, onion, cinnamon, caraway, black pepper, paprika, chili pepper, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Cover with plastic film and let it sit in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  2. 2Heat the 1 1/3 cup water and olive oil in a small cooking pot. Once it starts boiling, add the couscous, turn off the stove, place the lid on the pot, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Remove the beef from the refrigerator, form meatballs, and grill on a skillet with cooking spray at medium-high heat until they brown on both sides.
  4. 4Serve the couscous on plates with the meatballs on top, and garnish with coriander.
