Perfect meatballs for those who love fish! If you don’t want to use them as an appetizer, you can include them with your favorite pasta dish, or in stir-fry. They have just the right amount of kick, provided by the paprika and black pepper.

Ingredients

  • 2 monkfish (you can substitute cod, sea bass, or halibut)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 egg
  • fresh parsley (diced)
  • bread crumbs
  • all-purpose flour
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • vegetable oil (for frying)
  • cheese sauce (blue)

Directions

  1. Dice together the monkfish, garlic, and onion.
  2. Place in a bowl and mix with the paprika, egg, parsley, and a handful of bread crumbs.
  3. Mix well and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Pinch off sections and roll into meatballs.
  5. Coat the meatballs in flour that has been seasoned with salt and pepper to taste, and fry in plenty of hot oil.
  6. Serve with blue cheese sauce on top.

This recipe was so easy to make and didn't require much time to do it. The monkfish meatballs were moist and full of flavors and with the blue cheese sauce it tasted heavenly. My family loved it so much they asked that I make it at least once a week. This 4 star recipe will be on my dinner table many times.
