Description

Wisconsin chili is not like any other chili anywhere in the country. It's actually a soup and even has macaroni in it. There is even some versions with mushrooms, or celery. Anyway, it is a nice change, easy to make and goes great on a cold winter day with some soda crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger (browned with onion)
  • 1 can red beans (kidney generally with juice)
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 jar tomatoes (said this way because we always canned stewed tomatoes. This is a pint.)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 paprika (shakes)
  • chili powder (to taste)
  • spaghetti (or macaroni)
  • base (beef soup)

    Directions

    1. toss it all in the pot an simmer for a half hour or so to meld the flavors. Add the cooked macaroni
