    Followed directions exactly and did add the amount of cinnamon suggested. Found it to lack flavor and was overly sweet. I love sweet but with no other flavors to accompany it, the sweetness was just to much.
    My favorite cake I’ve made in quarantine so far! (And we’ve been making a LOT of cakes). I’m not much of a cook or baker, so I liked that this recipe was easy to follow. Everyone in the family loved it! I did substitute applesauce for half of the butter, and think that made it even more moist.

    This cake was totally awesome!
    This turned out GREAT! The whole family loved it. Each agreed it was delicious and moist. I made a pound cake today too, but I completely over baked it and it turned out dry and dense. This was a great refresh over a disappointing dessert. I baked at 350 for 40-45 minutes instead of 55 minutes. It would’ve been over baked if I hadn’t. Came out clean after 40-45 mins and turned out wonderful. I’m definitely going to make this again!

    Wayyyyy too sweet, and the caramel tasted more like butterscotch. No one in my family of four liked it, which is highly unusual since we all have different tastes.

    This is a delicious cake but I did modify it a bit. I added 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1/8 tsp all spice. For the topping I did 1/2 stick of butter, 1/2 c of brown sugar, and 1/2 c died oats.

    Cake was so moist and delicious! I used brown sugar for the cake and added extra cinnamon. I toasted and chopped up some almonds as well. I made some cinnamon whipped cream to add on top. Will definitely make again!

    I MADE TODAY THEN I ADD SOME COCONUT FLAKES AND CHOPPED WALNUT WHILE I WAS COOKING THE TOPPING THEN AFTER THAT ANOTHER BATCH OF COCONUT FLAKES AND CHOPPED WALNUTS.

    Made this cake and it’s delicious, fluffy and moist. The only thing I’ll change about the recipe next time is the amount of salt, half a teaspoon is sufficient.

    went together quickly. i added 1t of cinnamon, 1/4 t of nutmeg, 1t of fresh ginger. we like the flavor. i also used Fuji apples. the crispness of the apple held up we. topped it with cool whip. will make again.
