This exotic cocktail will transport you to a remote tropical island with the very first sensational sip. It's all about the bright, fresh taste of mint and lime, which also adds pleasant tartness. In this version, brown sugar (instead of the usual white sugar) provides the balancing sweetness and keeps everything in perfect harmony. If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, you can skip the rum and use soda (such as Seven Up) instead.
- 1 lime
- 4 tsp. brown sugar
- 8 ice cubes
- mint (to taste)
- rum (or seven-up)
- Place the sugar and mint in glasses. Cut the lime into small pieces and crush very well in the mortar. Crush the ice in the blender and put it in the cup with the rum.
- I don't drink alcohol so my version is made with seven-up and I can guarantee that it is delicious, but I'll leave it to your personal taste.
