If you want a moist, decadent, and rich dessert to show off your culinary skills at the next holiday party, office pot luck, or special occasion, then try this Moist Chocolate and Speculoos Cake. It is so divine that it might be a gift from heaven. It takes 40 minutes to prepare and only minutes to devour. We hope you and your family or friends enjoy this recipe as much as you do.

Ingredients

  • 125 grams butter (soft)
  • 110 grams sugar
  • 125 grams dark chocolate
  • 100 grams egg
  • 35 grams flour
  • 6 cookies (speculoos)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a bowl, work the butter until soft and creamy.
  3. Add the sugar, and beat until the mixture is creamy.
  4. Melt the chocolate. Add it to the mixture and stir.
  5. Add the eggs, and finally the flour, mix.
  6. Break the speculoos into small pieces.
  7. Spread the seculoos on the bottom of the mold, and carefully pour in the mixture.
  8. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the desired softness.
  9. Let cool, but do refrigerate as the cake will harden.

I have tried 10 recipes for a moist chocolate cake and all have fell short, until I found this one. This is the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten. IT’s a winner and my new “go to” recipe.
