People all around the world have consumed eel as a delicacy and many believe that it gives people that “summer glow.” This dish pairs this highly nutritional fish with a crunchy coating, and tops it off with sweet lemon juice. A twist on the classic calamari can switch up any summer party. Ready in only 25 minutes, this fun appetizer will be gone before you have time to make the next batch!


  • 1 can baby eels
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • oil
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 lime


  1. Place the baby eels and flour in a resealable plastic bag. Close the bag and shake it vigorously.
  2. Open the bag and make sure the eel is covered with the flour.
  3. Fry the eels in plenty of hot oil for 30 seconds. Remove the excess oil with paper towel.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve with lime wedges.
