We pick blackberries and blueberries every summer and I always have a freezer full. My kids love smoothies and I loved adding the berries we picked to a smoothie recipe. I made this recipe as shown with a couple of variations. First, I used a cup of vanilla almond milk instead of 1/2 cup of vanilla soy milk. I followed another reviewer's suggestion to use 1 cup. The review said only using 1/2 cup of milk made the smoothie way to thick. I also used regular vanilla yogurt instead of fat free plain yogurt. The smoothie turned out great and we all enjoyed it. I will be making these smoothies often, to use up all of our berries before the next picking season! Next time I make this recipe I am going to add a splash of orange juice and see how that compliments the berry flavors. Thank you.
