  • 1 lime
  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • grapefruit
  • soda
  • 1 1/2 ounces mezcal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Cut the lime, orange and grapefruit into small slices (save one slice of each fruit for later). Squeeze the juice from all of the fruits into a jar.
  2. Add the mezcal, soda, and salt into the jar and mix well.
  3. Place the slices of fruit into the drink and mix again.
  4. Serve with plenty of ice and enjoy.

How much soda do you use??? The jar is definitely a necessity tried it with cups wedged together to make a shaker and it made quite a mess once the pressure built up. Little too much salt for my taste.

I made these drinks for a summer barbeque at our house. If you cannot find the alcohol Mezcal, then simply use tequila. They are both made from agave and sister drinks. This one is a bit sour, so it’s perfect when eating dessert to balance the sweet to sour ratio. However, it has good flavors and a great presentation in the jars.
