Description

This simple dish requires just two ingredients and comes together in about 20 minutes. Requeson cheese, which is a Latin-style cheese made mainly in Brazil and Portugal, is mixed with a salsa-type sauce then cooked slightly in skillet to bring all the flavors together. You can use either store-bought or homemade salsa in this dish, depending on your time and what you have on hand. You can serve this simple dish as a side to many different meals, try it as a dip with tortilla chips, or spread it on a tortilla as the filling for quesadillas.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sauce (mexican, you can do it by mixing sliced tomatoes, onion, green chili pepper, and coriander)
  • 100 grams requeson cheese (you can substitute with ricotta cheese)

Directions

  1. 1Grease a skillet with cooking spray and preheat at medium heat.
  2. 2Add the mexican sauce to the skillet and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  3. 3Add the requeson cheese, stir occasionally, and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  4. 4Turn off the stove and serve as a side dish of your favourite meals.
