Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 red chili
  • 2 tablespoons espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes

Directions

  1. Melt 3 oz chocolate in a bowl above a pan of gently simmering water. Spread the chocolate inside 4 glasses.
  2. Heat 2 1/2 cups milk, the sugar and chili in a saucepan then stir in the remaining chocolate, the espresso powder and cinnamon. Remove the chili.
  3. Heat the remaining milk and froth using a whisk. Divide the coffee between the glasses then top with the milk foam. Sprinkle with a few chili flakes and serve.
