Panuchos is a Mexican food specialty from the Yucatan peninsula and typically features a refried tortilla topped with refried beans, shredded meat, fresh vegetables and pickled jalapenos. Make your own version of this Yucatan specialty at home with this recipe for Merida-style Panuchos. Marinated in a mixture of bitter orange juice and achiote paste, the shredded chicken has a unique sweet and tangy flavor. This recipe calls for fresh jalapenos as opposed to pickled ones and has a list of suggestions for toppings for your Panuchos.

Oh my goodness, this dish is really good. I couldn't believe that I was the one that made it, because it tasted like it came from a restaurant. Everyone who loves spicy food should try making this recipe.
