"This is Marilyn Simpson's recipe she gave me when Miles was a little fellow. She would mix up additional topping and warm it in the microwave. The she had extra topping to pour over each serving. It makes a lot but Roger always loved meatloaf sandwiches." - Laura

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1/2 lb. Tennessee Pride Sausage (Tennessee Pride)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 4 slices bread (worth of bread crumbs)
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard

    Directions

    1. Mix 2 Tbs brown sugar, 1 cup ketchup, and 2 Tbs mustard together and set aside. This is the topping for the meatloaf.
    2. Use a large bowl to mix all the other ingredients well......hands are the best tool.
    3. Spray a large 13 x 9 pan with Pam. Put meat in pan and form into long loaf.
    4. Preheat oven to 350F. Pour topping over meatloaf. Bake for 75-90 minutes
