Ingredients

  • 300 grams ground beef
  • 3 slices turkey breast
  • 3 sun dried tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (grated)
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 6 lettuce leaves (sliced)
  • 1 tomato (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons onion (minced)
  • 1 carrot (peeled and ground)
  • chayotes (cooked)
  • salad dressing

Directions

  1. Shred the turkey breast and dried tomatoes using a food processor until it forms a paste.
  2. Add the blended mixture, beef, Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of salt, and black pepper to a large bowl and mix.
  3. Form the meatballs of the desired size.
  4. Grease a skillet with cooking spray, heat it at medium heat, and place the meatballs on a it. Cook until they brown on all sides.
  5. Spread evenly the lettuce leaves, tomato, onion, carrot, and chayote in 2 different plates.
  6. Add the meatballs to the plates and serve with your favorite salad dressing.

My local supermarket didn't have the chayotes, but this recipe seemed to be fine without it. I adore meatballs. When you put this sauce over them it is just zesty. Robust flavors that enhance the dining experience. I love the way my dinner party kept asking for seconds.
