Description
These Middle Eastern-inspired meat fritters can be enjoyed as an appetizer or pair them with a salad for a complete meal. Tender meat is spiced with cumin and ras el hanout then mixed with pine nuts for an added bit of crunch. This mixture is then wrapped in delicate filo dough to form a crisp crust. This recipe comes together in about 40 minutes and is so easy to make.

Directions
- Finely chop the onion and fry in a drizzle of olive oil. Add the meat and spices, and let simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and add the pine nuts. Cool.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take a sheet of filo pastry and fold it in half to form a rectangle. Place this rectangle so that it faces you vertically.
- Using the meat mixture, form a small sausage for stuffing, and place on top of the rectangle. Roll all sides by folding so that the roll is sealed. Brush the roll with oil, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat this step until you've used all the ingredients. Bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes on each side.
