Infused with the fresh flavors of green tea, this creamy panna cotta is made with matcha powder for a creamy dessert that harnesses the health benefits and unique flavor of matcha green tea. Sweetened with turbinado sugar and thickened agar, a natural thickening agent derived from algae, this dessert tastes great while keeping you healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon teas (Matcha)
  • 400 milliliters cream (liquid)
  • 60 grams turbinado
  • 60 milliliters milk
  • 1 teaspoon agar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (ground)
  • 300 milliliters green tea
  • 1 tablespoon agar

Directions

  1. 1Combine Matcha tea with two tablespoons of liquid cream in a medium saucepan, mix well.
  2. 2Add the remaining cream, and stir over medium heat.
  3. 3Do not boil the mixture.
  4. 4Add sugar, stir.
  5. 5Add agar agar, stir to dissolve.
  6. 6Remove pan from heat and let stand for 10 minutes.
  7. 7Add the milk, then the vanilla.
  8. 8Pour into small glasses.
  9. 9Brew green tea, let cool.
  10. 10In a saucepan, mix the agar with a little water. Bring to boil.
  11. 11Add the cooled green tea and let stand for ten minutes.
  12. 12Pour the green tea mixture on the Matcha cream and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
