It was really easy to make. It came out really creamy and with a great garlicky taste to it but not over powering. I added seasoning salt and cayenne to give it a bit more flavor. I will definitely be making this a regular for mashed potatoes.

Family thought I did a good job with Mashed Potatoes and Leg Quarters. I didn’t plan as well and I hurried. It was a good meal easy to make and not expensive.

My mashed potatoes came out gritty so I added 2 tbs of sour cream.

This is one of the best mashed potato recipes I have ever seen! I added an additional stick of butter and an additional 1/4 cup of milk and it was super creamy! My family loved it and we poured brown gravy over it and it was so delicious!

I doubled the batch, and added 2 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper (half that if you're following the recipe). Can't believe it--they taste just like Betty Crocker, minus all the preservatives. Keep in mind that I used a 4.5 qt Kitchenaid on low to mash the potatoes; also, I didn't bother to preheat butter/milk/etc, just tossed them in the mixer. With the mixer on low, they came out fluffy but not chunky (I generally mix for 10 minutes or more).

Come on guys. There is only one secret to making stupendous garlic mashed, more of everything. More potatoes, more butter, more fresh garlic cloves and half n' half instead of milk.. Too much? Make something else. _5 lbs Yukon Golds. _8-10 large whole peeled cloves of garlic boiled with the potatoes. More if you can handle it. _1 stick at least (probably more) of top quality salted butter. Into your mixing bowl, dump your hot potatoes and garlic right from the colander onto your butter and it will melt in seconds. Use margarine? Go stand in traffic. _Enough warm Half n' Half to get to your desired texture. _Salt, Pepper and Parsley to taste. _Use a hand mixer or better yet your Kitchen Aid for smashing. _Grab a fork and get on baby! Tip; Swirl in some caramelized onions too. It's so good you might need a cigarette afterwards.
