Description

Made with white chocolate liqueur that's diluted with water, these grownup ice pops are dotted with chocolate chips for a textural surprise. Make these for a gathering as an alternative to cake, pie or a tart. However, do plan ahead, as the molds must be frozen 24 hours in advance of making the pops. Once you get the hang of these, it's time to get creative. Try combinations like Kahlua and white chocolate chips or tequila and lime zest.

Ingredients

  • 1 green bell pepper (seeded and cut into strips)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (seeded and cut into strips)
  • 1 red bell pepper (seeded and cut into strips)
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • garlic powder
  • ground black pepper
  • white vinegar
  • sugar

Directions

  1. 1Heat the oven's broiler on high.
  2. 2Place the pepper strips on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Roast until the peppers are soft.
  3. 3Dice the peppers and place in a skillet with a tablespoon if oil, a pinch of salt and garlic powder, 2 drops of vinegar, and 1/2 tsp. sugar.
  4. 4Cook on a medium heat until the vinegar has evaporated completely.
  5. 5Serve warm sprinkled with black pepper.
