This sauce turns a bright orange if you make it with fresh tomatoes. It's gorgeous! I love this sauce. I always add garlic

I have made this twice, once as written and once i added 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and 3 cloves of minced garlic for a more Arrabiatta style preparation and they both were wonderful.

Classic Hazan recipe. Sounds simple and tastes amazing. I have been making this one for years. It doesn't require a lot of time, there isn't a lot of ingredients and tastes unbelievable.
