This is my recipe to make the best maple frosting. Goes great with most fall treats especially pumpkin cupcakes!!! Makes enough for 14 generously frosted cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar (confectionery)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions

  1. Soften butter in microwave for 12 seconds on medium-high or until soft. Do not let butter melt!
  2. In a medium sized bowl, thoroughly beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
  3. Pour in maple syrup, add to taste. (might not need to use all 2 tablespoons). Beat until desired consistency is obtained.
