  • 1 cup chopped macadamias (toasted, finely)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 10 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel (finely)

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 11 x 7 inch baking pan.
    2. Mix macadamias, sugar, cinnamon and spice in a small bowl.
    3. Working quickly, layer 3 phyllo sheets, brushing each layer with butter. Fold layered sheets in half crosswise. Press into prepared pan to fit.
