A cake that is sure to satisfy the youngest sweet tooth. Made with plenty of M&Ms to please the children, this is a great cake to make with the family. Sprinkled throughout the cake batter, the M&Ms add a chocolatey crunch that will excite the tastebuds. Decorate with regular M&Ms or with your favorite kind--peanut butter, pretzel, crispy--the choice is yours!

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • 180 grams sugar
  • 75 grams oil
  • 220 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 50 grams m&m ('s, and a few to decorate)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Grease a baking pan with butter, and sprinkle with flour.
  3. With an electric mixer, or a in a food processor, whisk the eggs with the sugar until obtaining a whitish batter.
  4. Add the yogurt and oil, and whisk again.
  5. Add the flour together with the baking powder, and mix without beating for too long. Add the M&M's, and mix in the dough.
  6. Pour into baking pan, and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Check the cooking, remove from the oven, and unmold.
  8. Decorate with M&M's while still hot.

Truly great dessert. The best part is, it’s fun too. I made this with the kids, and then we enjoyed it together afterwards of course. It wasn't hard to make. The cake turned out pretty moist and had a great flavor. Next time, I might double up on the M&M’s that get mixed into the batter to give it extra chocolate.
