- 1 pkg. Honeysuckle White® Hot Italian Turkey Sausage Links (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 cans red beans (16 ounce each)
- 3 celery (ribs, sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (large, chopped)
- 1 onion (large, chopped)
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. ground thyme
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Creole seasoning
- water
- 3 cups instant white rice (prepared according to package directions)

Directions
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook sausage, stirring constantly until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients, and water if necessary to thin out mixture.
- Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over cooked rice.

As a 12th gen Creole and NOLA native I assure you we do not make our RBR with italian sausage . We use Sundays ham bone bone cooked with the beans.

I don't think I would make it again. Unpleasantly spicy and the end result wasn't worth saving.

taste delcious
i made it with ranch style beans since i could not find red and it tasted really good. also used andouli sausage instead of the turkey links

Very good but I did modify it a bit. I used a fully cooked Turkey kielbasa instead of the sausage and chicken broth instead of the water. I also like to mash part of the beans to create a thicker sauce.

Perfect, I did a few modifications with substituting red kidney Beans for Pinto beans at times. I also use hot links and it always comes out perfect
