  • 2 pounds shrimp (or lobster,, raw, shelled and cleaned)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed, or more to taste)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 hot pepper (halved and seeded)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley (fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup white wine (or red)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Remove All from Shopping List

    Directions

    1. Melt butter in oil and sauteeonion and garlic until golden. Add tomatoes and mix well. add all other ingredients and mix well. Simmer for 30 minutes.
    2. Remove bay leaf and hot pepper halves. Add shrimp /and/or lobster and simmer 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit for 10 minutes Cook pasta (your choice)
    3. According to directions. Drain and toss with sauce. Top with extra sauce and fish and serve immediately with grated cheese on the side.
    4. Serve with PLENTY OF BREAD AND WINE. A nice salad with dinner and some cold fruit after are perfect.
